I don’t want you
does that mean
I don’t love you ?
Answers aren’t
meant to be simple
merely antithetical.
Shards of glass
piercing through
that’s peace
absent for you.
So for now
I am learning
trying to
let go of you.
Come, peep in through the glass wall, and be my friend, even if only for a few moments in time......... Copyright ©2004-2005 AD/Pincushion. All rights reserved for everything that appears on this blog including artwork.

Ouch!!! This one hurt, and stung, and still pricks.
Are the cuts too deep, too permanent to heal?

I cannot resist, somehow it feels right to share this piece and know that you will not see it as an intrusion...
The saffron colored leaf
Anchored by the twig that held it
Close all summer
Let loose
And fell
Ever so gently
Into a majestic dance with the autumn breeze
Tipping and swaying to the rhythm
Of the whispering wind
Until it landed in the brown grass
And I understood then
It is not always the hanging on
But sometimes
It is
The letting go.
This, is so beautiful ! As usual you have surpassed yourself and NO its not an intrusion, in fact i needed to hear this !
Thankyou for sharing this, thank you.
'antithetical' ... The word in this poem keeps ringing again and again. Wonderful choice!
It's a beautiful piece - and for some strange reason I can see a conenction between this and your last post (once again) - the words just suit that situation so well!
Every time I read it, I think of Pratik and his teacher...
In letting go lies the answer o wise one! heady, swirling, like a vortex sucking me in... :-)
A single shard can hurt the most.
Well written...through experience, no doubt.
