she looks a mixture of varied emotions--content like a cat who's had her cream..
you are getting better and better at this Pinc..keep at it!
hugs
it's the same she -
bright and pretty
when the light kisses her
dark and dreary
when it bids goodbye
PS: Yes, as Jyo says, this just gets better and better. :))
Pincushion,
----------------------------
Is the darkness eating her up?
or is she burnishing up darkness?
Is her tears invisible?
or is it tears of the candle?
Is it the power of her presence?
or emotions bleeding?

awesome!!!! piece of art... excellent. Good work.
That girl has a wicked gleam in her eye. I wonder if she has lit the candle for reasons other than to illuminate her room. A lovers visit perhaps?
Sexy and mysterious (and the picture too!)
Very nice...
The black is almost soothing.
beautiful painting. love the expression on the eyes.
Love the dripping effect of the candle and the eyes.
it almost feels as if its her tears that are dripping down the candle...
The light and dark side of her. The burning desire and dripping sadness goes well with her profile.
That is one haunting expression - in the days when I used to try and fool myself into thinking I can do human figures well, my greatest hurdle was in getting the eyes to NOT look like plastic eyes. I never succeeded in leaping across that hurdle and eventually gave up making plastic dolls ;-)
The only thing that comes in my mind when I see this picture is...
"The world is a stage and we are all just actors walking in and out of it"
I love the pictures and the kinda reactions that u seem to be getting..Mystery, lovers anticipation, Content like a cat who's had its cream, burning desire and drippin sadness...ahhhh LOVELY...
AM hopin u are saving all this somewhere behind those
"Glass Walls"!!!
Haunting, different, and cool! Her smile set against the dark is emotive. I love candles. Strong style! What medium are you using? Are they acrylics?
something darkly sexy about this. an element of mystique
Jo-Thanks!..liked that 'cream' bit ;)
Blue-Loved that ditty! Thanks :)
Human-'tears of candle'what a lovely concept!Thanks you :)

Anil-Love your metaphor! Thanks :)Glad to see you again!
Mermaid-Absolutely! very perceptive of you :)
Geetanjali-Oh but your words infuse such life! Keep at it, thanks! :)
Arvind-I love the reactions too! Thats why I never write any write-ups to accompany the pictures..I love the way everybody stamps their own personality on them..absolutely fascinating(the psychologist in me, i guess ;)) Thank you!!
Silvermoon-Thankyou for the kind words! aah well...the medium is the computer itself..with the brush being the mouse! I 'paint' the pictures on the computer using the windows program 'Paint' and another one called 'Art-rage'. I find little time to paint on the canvas now, so this is how I satisfy my urge!
Nicole-'mystique'..what a sexy word ;)! Thank you!
Yet again an amazing picture, I think she is holding on to a secret.
i love your work. you are an incredible artist.
What a wonderful piece. Looks like no one really knows her true self except by candlelight. It's like a fairy tale!
