Distant.

Sat sipping sunshine
weakened warmth
filtering away....

A lonely red leaf
twirled an
autumn tune....

I sat on it
and blew away
a distant love....

Just a winter away.

"and blew away a distant love".

That was my favorite part, probably because I think nature holds so many of our imprints and memories, especially in the veins of leaves...hey, I think I feel a poem coming...

this moment you describe seems so peaceful and that is how it is sometimes when you are letting go of a distant love.
